Events and activities

Spring is in the air! The Flora Festival is on at Mt Penang until Sunday and a few Figgies are helping out at the Permaculture Central Coast stand (near the big green dome) during the four days there. Tomorrow FIG is off to the winery when the kiwi fruit we chopped up a couple of months ago is due to be moved to stainless steel vats where it will sit for quite some time and "become wine". Next Monday, 13th September, we are holding a FIG management meeting, after pack up of the co-op (somewhere between 5.30 and 6pm). All members are very welcome.

Whilst none of the following events are FIG organised, many of our members are interested in such activities and express disappointment if they only get to hear about them AFTER they'd been held. There's a lot happening so we've decided to list a few of them for you:  ***Edited to add a couple more events.

Sustainable House Day - 12th September
A few FIG members have opened up their homes to the public in previous years and are giving it a break or are away this time, but there are plenty of homes to visit between northern Sydney, the Lake Macquarie district and Newcastle if you would like to visit some and see exactly how they have set their homes and gardens up, and chat to the owners. Have a look here for details.
