Formation meeting

The FIG Co-op is required to hold a Formation meeting as one of the final steps to becoming Incorporated, and this will be held on 18th February.

Time: 2pm
Date: Saturday, 18th February
Place: FIG Wyong co-op venue.

Full details and notifications of this meeting and a copy of the proposed model rules have been emailed and sent to members; if you are a current member and have not received your copy, then please let us know.

How does FIG work?

FIG is a community run, not-for profit group operating a weekly food box system on the Central Coast, NSW. Co-op members order and pay one week in advance (or more) and collect on Mondays from Ourimbah.

The produce is certified organic or Biodynamic, with a small percentage of some chemical free items as well. The next priority is to source produce as locally grown as possible and support the local farmers.

The co-op is run by volunteers comprising of a management committee and general members, who share in the setting up and packing away, ordering, weighing & bagging up of vegies, being a cashier assistant, and lots of little jobs in between.

An extras table is set up where garlic, honey, Biodynamic olives and oils are available, along with additional fresh produce.

We operate the co-op of a Monday all throughout the year (except for a couple of weeks over Christmas and New Year), at the Ourimbah Scout Hall, Ourimbah Creek Road, Ourimbah; it's just behind the Metro service station at the intersection of Ourimbah Creek Road and Pacific Highway.

The hours are 2.00pm until 5.00pm. When Monday is a public holiday, we operate on Tuesday of that week instead.
